Jan van Kessel the Elder (1626–1679) was a Flemish painter active in Antwerp, Belgium, belonged to the renowned Brueghel artistic dynasty. The grandson of Jan Brueghel the Elder, he became known for exquisitely detailed still life paintings. He also collaborated on devotional garland paintings, often working with Erasmus Quellinus.
